The
sound of the alarm from the clock beside Woohyun woke the handsome man up from
his deep slumber. He yawned and stretched himself for several moments before
walked out from his bed and walked towards his desk at the bedroom and picked
out a photo frame.
A
photo of him and Seokyung that smiled happily in their school’s music room at
their graduation day.
Their
high school’s music room held so many sweet memories of him and Seokyung.
There, both of them met each other for the first time. There, both of them
spent so many times together. And there…was the place where they became lovers,
the place where Woohyun confessed his love for Seokyung.
Woohyun was
still busy strumming down the guitar at his hands when Seokyung suddenly walked
to the music room. The black haired man immediately raised his head and smiled
to his bestfriend once he saw the cute brown haired girl walked into the room.
“Hyunnie~why
are you here? It’s graduation day! You must enjoy yourself because now you are
not high school student anymore!” Seokyung exclaimed while she walked towards
Woohyun. “So why are you isolate yourself here alone?”
“I am
enjoying myself, noona~” Woohyun said while he played his guitar. “Enjoy the
time when I can be at this music room for the last time. Tomorrow…I can’t spend
my time here anymore because I am not the student here anymore so this is the
last time for me to be here….”
Seokyung
just kept silent before she sat herself down beside Woohyun, made the black
haired boy raised his brow in confusion. “If Hyunnie want to be here, then I
want to accompany you here. After all…this is the last for me to be here too…”
said Seokyung with sweet smile formed at her lips.
Woohyun
smiled back at the brown haired girl before played his guitar once more.
Seokyung, who heard the song that Woohyun played, raised her eyebrow in confusion.
“That song…”
Seokyung muttered softly.
“Ah, you
remember it, noona?” Woohyun said before he stopped playing for a while to look
at Seokyung. “Do you remember what song it is, noona?”
“Ah, I
remember it…” Seokyung said. “Think about it whenever there are just the two of
us here…you will always play this song but whenever I ask you what the title of
the song is, you stubbornly refuse to tell me.”
“And you do
know that this is the son that I write…for someone, right?” said Woohyun while
he was smiling cheerfully to Seokyung.
“Ah, you
told me that once before…” Seokyung said. “But then again…you also never tell
me for whom you want to dedicate this song to…no matter how many times I ask
you about it….”
“At that
time…I can’t tell you because of my own cowardice and anxiousness…” Woohyun
said before he put down his guitar and grabbed his music sheets at the table in
front of them. “But today…is the graduation day and I felt like if I never tell
who is the one I write this song for to you, I will regret it forever…so….”
“Hyunnie….”
Seokyung muttered softly. She never saw Woohyun looked so serious like this
before. Usually Woohyun was a cheerful, nice and greasy kid that always seemed
so happy-go lucky, like there were never any problems that bothered him and
made him down. So…seeing Woohyun being so serious like this…was a bit unusual
and a surprise for Seokyung.
“Now I
can…and want to give this to you,” Woohyun said while he handed a music sheet
to Seokyung.
“For me?”
Seokyung asked in confusion.
“Yes…” Woohyun
said while he looked at the brown haired girl and caressed Seokyung’s cheek
softly, made the brown haired girl blushed slightly, made her white skin
painted with a pale pink that Woohyun secretly loved so much. “That song…I
write that song for you, noona…since the start.”
Seokyung
looked at the music sheet that Woohyun had given to her. After she read it, the
blush in her face, if it was possible, became redder. She looked at Woohyun
shyly. “I…is it real? Are you serious…about this?” she asked.
Woohyun
smiled to her bestfriend and nodded his head. “I am serious, Kyu-noona…really
serious,” he said in a soft but stern tone at his voice. “So…what is your
answer, noona?”
“I…I…”
Seokyung avoided Woohyun’s stare for several moments before she looked back at Woohyun
and smiled shyly. “…Yes, I do…” she said.
Woohyun
smiled when he heard the brown haired girl’s answer. Immediately the black
haired boy wrapped his hands around Seokyung’s slim waist and brought her into
a sweet, tender, loving kiss. Seokyung immediately closed her eyes and wrapped
her hands at Woohyun’s neck when the black haired boy deepened their kiss.
A wind blew softly to the music room from the
open windows beside them, made the music sheets that was placed at the table
flew and fell to the floor. There was a text at the music sheets that Woohyun
gave to Seokyung.
This song…is
the love song to the one that I love for the most in the world
My first and
my last….
The first
person that I will see when I open my eyes at the morning
The last
person that I will see when I close my eyes at the night
The one that
I will always make a smile painted at her face every day no matter what…
The one that
I will never let any tears fell down from her eyes because of me….
The one that
I will propose and marry at the beautiful altar of love
The one that
will be another members of my family and the mother of my children….
My
eternity….
So,
Seokyung-noona, would you be my girlfriend?
“At
that time…I said things like that to you…” Woohyun muttered softly when he
caressed Seokyung’s face at the photo that he held. “And now…I am the one who
break it too…. I’m sorry, noona…. I am really…not worthy to be your lover, even
until now….”
The
sound of the doorbell rang immediately snapped Woohyun out of his daydreaming.
The handsome man quickly walked to his bathroom, brushed his teeth, and washed
his face before combed his messy hair a bit and grabbed his sweater and put it
at his body when the doorbell’s ringing continued and became more often, like
the person behind the door was impatient for anyone to open the door.
“Wait
a minute!” Woohyun yelled when he quickly ran down the stairs towards the front
door. He caught his breath for a moment before grabbed the door’s handle and
opened the door.
And
what, or rather who, he saw in front of him quickly made him froze. Shock,
disbelief, surprised…all that emotions mixed together inside Woohyun, made the
black haired man couldn’t explain what he felt right now. He just continued to
stand at the entrance of the door, with wide eyes and mouth hung open.
Because
right now Seokyung was standing in front of him, smiled ever so brightly like
usual. Her hands hold a black bag while she saw Woohyun curiously like wondered
why Woohyun looked like he just saw a ghost, which in fact he did thought that
he saw a ghost. It just like…Seokyung had never been dead, even never left him
before.
“Hyunnie,
don’t just stand there!” Seokyung shouted impatiently at Woohyun. “Help me
bring this bag, it is heavy, you know!”
Oh
my god, even her voice did sound like Seokyung. Was Woohyun dreaming right now?
Or he just became crazy because he missed Seokyung so much? But…all of this
felt real, not a hallucination, or even a dream.
Seokyung
pouted cutely when Woohyun kept stood dumbly at the entrance of the door before
she decided to push Woohyun out of her way and walked in casually towards the
house that she shared together with Woohyun all this two years. Felt Seokyung’s
body touched his finally made Woohyun snapped out from his musings, made him
closed the door in front of him and quickly followed Seokyung towards the
kitchen.
Seokyung
opened the refrigerator and pulled out a bottle of mineral water and drank it
before walked out to the dining table and took an apple there and bit it.
Woohyun just kept staring at Seokyung, still convinced himself that it was a
dream or an illusion.
“K…Kyu-noona…why…why
are you here?” Woohyun finally able to let those words out after it was stuck at
his throat the entire time after he saw Seokyung. The brown haired girl just
looked at Woohyun with confused but irritated stares.
“What
do you mean why I am here? I live here, am I?” Seokyung exclaimed. “Or are you
kick me out because I left you alone for three days to visit Myungsoo? You are
the one who didn’t want to go with me there, because you don’t want to meet
Myungsoo, so why angry with me now?”
Woohyun
felt numb when he heard Seokyung’s words. Visit Myungsoo? But…wasn’t the last
time Seokyung visited Myungsoo was around one month…before her death? If
Seokyung said that then it meant….
Woohyun’s
heart raced quickly when he finally turned his gazes toward the calendar on his
refrigerator. The date at the calendar showed that today was 10th of
July 2009….
Exactly
one month before Seokyung’s death three years ago…..
It
struck Woohyun that Seokyung was really back at his side. That God really gave
him a second chance to fix every mistake that he made before Sunggyu’s death.
He didn’t want to think why God gave such a miracle like this so suddenly, but
now…he just wanted to treasure this moment…and kept his promise to always made
Seokyung smiled…to make sure that she never left his side anymore….
“Kyu-noona!”
Woohyun shouted out in excitement, happiness and relief when he lunged towards
Seokyung and hug the older girl tightly. He inhaled the sweet scent of
Seokyung’s that he missed so much and felt the brown haired girl’s warmth
against his own skins.
“Hyunnie,
what are you doing?” Seokyung yelled, but after several minutes she sighed and
hug Woohyun back tenderly and lovingly. “I am just not seeing you for three
days, Hyunnie…you don’t need to get so worked up like this…” she muttered
softly against Woohyun’s shoulders.
‘Thank you
for coming back to my life, noona…’ thought Woohyun when he kept hugging
Seokyung and caressed her brown hair. He smiled to Seokyung before kissed the
brown haired girl’s lips lovingly.
‘And this
time, I will make sure you are happy, noona. I will never make you cry anymore
and I will show you that you are the most important thing for me in this world.
I love you, noona….. That’s why…never
leave me alone again, noona….’
